Audi R8: Tubi Style Takes on Danny Lazzarin’s Challenge!

Our mission was clear: to create a unique, high-performance exhaust system in record time, without sacrificing quality or results. With our team’s dedication and tenacity, along with an out-of-the-box approach, we completed a project that surpassed all expectations. We’re proud to say this project has become a real standout in the aftermarket world!

The Challenge

The Audi R8 is a supercar that needs no introduction. With its naturally aspirated V10 delivering raw power at every acceleration, it epitomizes the perfect blend of extreme performance and sophisticated design. Our mission was to elevate these qualities further by developing an exhaust system that delivers both aggressive power and refined cabin acoustics. We aimed to produce a commanding sound that showcases the engine’s power while maintaining driving comfort.

Given the unique, fully custom nature of this project, our team worked freely and creatively, without relying on excessive equipment or reference models. We crafted the exhaust using a combination of titanium and steel, striking the perfect balance between lightness and durability. The steel components extend from the turbine outlet to the muffler, while titanium forms the outer sections, creating just the right blend of form and function.

The titanium sections feature about 50 meticulously crafted welds. Their precision and subsequent colouring give the exhaust system a distinctive aftermarket appearance. When the valves open, the internal piping allows a direct flow of exhaust gases, producing a sound that is both aggressive and intoxicating.

Stunning Design and Maximum Sound

By removing the rear bumper, we exposed the exhaust line, showcasing the new exhaust system’s sleek design, with its central titanium tips. Every detail was meticulously crafted to ensure a seamless fusion of steel and titanium, with hidden joints for a smooth, uninterrupted look. The end result? An exhaust system that not only boosts the car’s performance but also gives it a unique visual signature.
