The Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli Europe recently experienced two exhilarating rounds, first in Jerez, Spain, and then in Portimão, Portugal. From June 20 to 23, drivers competed on the scorching Jerez de la Frontera circuit, delivering spectacular performances and heart-pounding action. Two weeks later, from July 4 to 7, it was Portimão’s turn, with its challenging curves and thrilling elevations. These two weekends once again showcased the passion and skill of the participating drivers, offering fans unforgettable moments and plenty of on-track excitement.

Jerez

Race 1 – 22 June 2024

The first day in Jerez saw Giacomo Altoé (Emil Frey Racing) triumph in the Trofeo Pirelli, clocking a fastest lap time of 1’43”697. Henry Hassid (Kessel Racing) won the Coppa Shell after an intense duel with Manuela Gostner (Ineco – Reparto Corse RAM). Hendrik Viol (Scuderia Praha Racing) and Zois Skrimpias (Ineco – Reparto Corse RAM) claimed victories in the Trofeo Pirelli Am and Coppa Shell Am, respectively. Fabrizio Fontana (Formula Racing) led the Trofeo Pirelli 488 drivers.

Race 2 – 23 June 2024

On the second day, Philipp Baron (Gohm Motorsport – Baron Racing Team) secured his first seasonal win in the Trofeo Pirelli, while Manuela Gostner took victory in the Coppa Shell. Claus Zibrandtsen (Formula Racing) and Andreas König (Gohm Motorsport – Haupt Racing Team) won in the Trofeo Pirelli Am and Coppa Shell Am, respectively. Fabrizio Fontana repeated his success in the Trofeo Pirelli 488. Ferrari official driver Yifei Ye participated as Race Advisor.

Portimão

Race 1 – 06 July 2024

On July 6, at the Autodromo Internacional do Algarve, Luca Ludwig (MERTEL Motorsport) clinched his first seasonal win in the Trofeo Pirelli, with Manuela Gostner again winning the Coppa Shell. Claus Zibrandtsen and Zois Skrimpias repeated their victories in the Trofeo Pirelli Am and Coppa Shell Am, respectively, while Fabrizio Fontana continued his dominance in the Trofeo Pirelli 488. Miguel Molina, fresh from his 24 Hours of Le Mans victory, served as Race Advisor for this round.

Race 2 – 07 July 2024

The final day in Portimão saw Giacomo Altoé return to victory in the Trofeo Pirelli, strengthening his position in the overall standings. John Dhillon (Graypaul Nottingham) triumphed in the Coppa Shell, with Claus Zibrandtsen securing another win in the Trofeo Pirelli Am. Jan Sandmann (Kessel Racing) won for the first time in the Coppa Shell Am, while Fabrizio Fontana maintained his dominance in the Trofeo Pirelli 488.
